Prosorowo ( Russian Прозорово , German Geidau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the rural municipality of Selskoje posselenije Divnoje in the Baltiysk district . According to the last census from 2010, the place is uninhabited.
Geographical location
Prosorowo is located 29 kilometers west of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and can be reached via a side road that branches off the regional road 27A-016 (ex A193 ) in the north at Krylowka (Wischrodt) . The next train station is the O. p. 33 km on the Kaliningrad – Baltijsk railway line (Koenigsberg – Pillau) .
history
The place, called Geidau until 1946 , was first mentioned in 1258. From 1874 to 1945 the rural community Geidau with the Vorwerke Karlshof (today Russian: Tscherjomuchino) and Bruch (no longer exist today) and Wischrodt (Krylowka) was in the administrative district of Kallen ( Zwetnoye) incorporated. Until 1939 it belonged to the district of Fischhausen , then until 1945 to the district of Samland in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 the village had 270 inhabitants, in 1933 there were 292 and in 1939 283.
As a result of the war, Geidau came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Prosorowo and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Logwinski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion . In 1950 the place got into the Zwetnowski selski sowet and in 1959 then into the Powarowski selski sowet . Probably in 1994 Prosorowo was assigned to the Baltiysk district and since 2008 belongs to the rural municipality of Selskoje posselenije Divnoje in the Baltiysk district .

Before 1945, Geidau, with its predominantly Protestant population, was a parish of the Fischhausen Church (East Prussia) (today in Russian: Primorsk). It was part of the Fischhausen church district within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Prosorowo is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Swetly (Zimmerbude) , a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church European Russia .
