Dmytro Oleksandrowytsch Rasumkow ( Ukrainian Дмитро Олександрович Разумков ; born October 8, 1983 in Berdychiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian politician. He is the party leader of the Ukrainian political party Sluha narodu ( Servant of the People ), which has had an absolute majority in the Verkhovna Rada , the Ukrainian parliament, since the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2019 , and has been parliamentary chairman of the Verkhovna Rada since August 29, 2019.

Life

Razumkov was born as the eldest son of Oleksandr Razumkov , First Assistant to President Leonid Kuchma , and the actress and people 's artist of Ukraine Natalija Kudrja in Berdychiv in the Zhytomyr Oblast . After graduating from Lyceum No. 38 in Kiev, he studied international economic relations at the Kiev Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University and studied law at the National Tax Service University.

He has been active in the field of political advice and electoral processes since 2006 , and in the same year he became a member of the Party of Regions , but resigned from it in 2010 when Viktor Yanukovych won the 2010 presidential election. Between 2010 and 2014 he worked for Serhij Tihipko .

He has been working for the Sluha narodu party since 2019 . First as spokesman for Volodymyr Selenskyj's electoral headquarters and since the change of party chairman Ivan Bakanov ( Іван Геннадійович Баканов ) on May 22, 2019 to the post of deputy chairman of the SBU after winning the presidential election of Zelenskyj as a party from May 27, 2019. After the parliamentary election in 2019 , which was a success for the party , he became a member of the Verkhovna Rada on the list. On August 29, 2019, he was elected chairman of parliament at the first session of the newly elected Verkhovna Rada. On September 6, 2019, he also became a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the basis of a presidential decree .

Dmytro Razumkov is married and has two children.
