Dornier Do 635

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dornier Do 635 was a long-range reconnaissance aircraft of the Dornier works planned for the end of the Second World War .

The aircraft was designed in 1944 following a tender by the Air Force High Command for a long-range long-range reconnaissance aircraft with a range of 7,500 kilometers. Similar to the He 111 Z , two Dornier Do 335 B should be connected by a wing center piece. The pilot was to be housed in the left fuselage and the radio operator in the right. An armament was not provided. An earlier name of the project was He P.1075, also called He 635.

The design was handed over to Junkers , where the project was continued under the name Ju 635. The aim was to simplify the project for easier production. A prototype was never built.
