Dzięciołowo (Tychowo)

Dzięciołowo (German Dimkuhlen ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the municipality of Tychowo ( Groß Tychow ) in the district of Białogard ( Belgard ).

Geographical location

Dzięciołowo is 36 kilometers southeast of Białogard and 17 kilometers southeast of Tychowo in a wooded landscape on a side road that leads from Tychowo via Nosibądy ( Naseband ) to Bobolice ( Bublitz ). The nearest train station is Wielanowo ( Villnow ) on the Szczecinek – Kołobrzeg railway line .

history

Up to 1928 Dimkuhlen was an estate district, which was then combined with the estate district Schmenzin to form the municipality of Schmenzin. Before 1945, the place belonged to the official and civil registry district Schmenzin in the district of Belgard (Persante) . The competent district court was Belgard .

Today Dzięciołowo is part of the Gmina Tychowo in the powiat Białogardzki .

Dimkuhlen belonged to the parish of Schmenzin with the parish seat in Hopfenberg (today Chmielno in Polish) until 1945 . It was in the church district Belgard of the ecclesiastical province of Pomerania of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Dzięciołowo is part of the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church .
