Eckenreuth is a Franconian village in the northern Franconian Jura .
geography
The village is one of 23 districts of the town of Betzenstein in the southern part of Upper Franconia . It is located about two kilometers south-southeast of the center of Betzenstein and is at an altitude of 489 m above sea level. NHN .
history
Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Stierberg , which also included the villages of Hetzendorf , Klausberg and Reipertsgesee , as well as the hamlets of Hunger , Münchs and Waiganz . In the course of the communal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , Eckenreuth was incorporated into the town of Betzenstein on January 1, 1972, together with the entire Stierberg community. In 1987, Eckenreuth had 31 residents.
traffic
The connection to the public road network is made by three community roads that connect the place with the state road St 2163 , as well as Betzenstein and Plech . It is possible to drive onto the federal motorway 9 at the Plech junction located three kilometers east of the village.
