Illafeld is one of 23 officially named districts of the town of Betzenstein in Upper Franconia .

geography

The village is located about seven kilometers south of Betzenstein and is at an altitude of 535 m above sea level. NHN .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Spies , to which the parish village of Riegelstein as the seat of the community, the village of Eichenstruth and the wasteland of Eibenthal belonged the hamlet of Schermshöhe created in the second half of the 19th century .

In the course of the communal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Illafeld was incorporated into the town of Betzenstein on January 1, 1972 together with the entire municipality of Spies. In 1987 Illafeld had 68 inhabitants.

traffic

The connection to the public road network takes place via several community roads. Two of these roads lead north-west and north-west to district road BT 28 , which passes about 800 meters north-west of the village. Access to the federal motorway 9 is possible at the Hormersdorf junction about one kilometer southwest of the town. Illafeld is not served by public transport .

Sightseeing

In the southern area of Illafeld there is a house built around 1800 with a two-storey saddle roof.
