Edith Behleit

Edith Behleit (* 23 August 1931 in Bad Schwartau as Edith Kruse ; † 23 February 2013 in Feldafing ) was a German actress .

Life

Edith Behleit initially worked as a theater actress . In the early 1960s she was briefly engaged at the Meiningen Theater, but returned to the West before the Wall was built . In 1978 she joined the Municipal Theater Chur in the play room battle of Martin Walser on. Directed by Franziskus Abgottspon ; her partner was Paul Felix Binz . At the end of the 1970s / beginning of the 1980s she was part of the ensemble of the Munich touring theater Theater on the move , which was led by Dieter Henkel . In 1977 she appeared there as cleaning lady Jolande in the tabloid comedy A Rose for Breakfast by Barillet & Grédy. In the 1979/1980 season she played the role of Mrs. Edith Parker in the comedy Good Evening Mrs. Sunshine by Arthur Lovegrave; her partners were Lia Wöhr , Friedrich Schoenfelder , Carola Höhn and Rick Parsé . In 1979 she made a guest appearance with this piece at the Theater am Dom in Cologne . In the 1982/1983 season she appeared at the theater on the road alongside Günter Strack in Martin Walser's play The detour . In 1986 she played at the Urania Theater in Cologne alongside Katy Karrenbauer in the play Spelterini lifts off by Lukas B. Suter .

Behleit also took on film and television roles since the 1960s. She was used almost exclusively in concise supporting roles. She embodied neighbors, secretaries, cleaning women and similar roles, which she gave profile in short scenes. She had a bigger television role in 1992 as Mutter Lichtblau, mother of the female main character Clarissa Lichtblau, in the multi-part TV series The Second Home - Chronicle of a Youth , the second part of the Heimat trilogy by director Edgar Reitz . She played this role again in the third part, Heimat 3 - Chronicle of a turning point . She had recurring episode roles in the series Our School Is The Best (1994) and Hello, Uncle Doc! (1994).

Behleit played her best-known television role in the ZDF television series Der Landarzt . She embodied the housekeeper Ms. Juergens. Behleit played this role from 1989 to 2012 for over 20 years, in almost 150 episodes of the series.

Behleit also had frequent guest roles in the Munich crime series Der Alte , Derrick and Siska .

Behleit lived in Feldafing on Lake Starnberg .
