Eduard Chaloupka

Eduard Chaloupka (born August 11, 1902 in Vienna ; † September 5, 1967 there ) was a lawyer and top civil servant in post-war Austria.

Chaloupka joined the Lower Austrian provincial service in 1927 (lecturer for poor relief and secretary to Oskar Helmer, deputy governor ). From 1934 he worked in the newly created Federal Commissioner for Human Resources in the Federal Chancellery . After the Anschluss in 1938 he was arrested several times and dismissed from civil service. He was involved in the founding and work of active resistance cells against the National Socialists. In 1945 he returned to the civil service. From 1946 he was head of the presidency, from 1947 until his death he was section head in the Federal Chancellery .

Eduard Chaloupka was a member and founding boy of the Catholic student associations K.ö.St.V. Frankonia Wien in the MKV and KAV Bajuvaria Wien in the ÖCV . In the Bajuvaria Chaloupka held top positions not only as a student, but throughout his life, from 1929 to 1967 he was the Philistine Senior. Chaloupka served as chairman of the ÖCV advisory board from 1955 until his death in 1967. For his services he was posthumously awarded the highest honor of the ÖCV , the ribbon “in vestigiis Wollek” . At the time of his death he was a member of 12 Catholic student associations (9 in the ÖCV, 2 in the MKV and one in the KÖL ).

His grave is in the area of ​​the honorary graves in the Vienna Central Cemetery .
