Edward José (1920)

Edward José (born July 5, 1865 in Rotterdam , Netherlands , † December 18, 1930 in Nice , France ) was a Belgian actor , film director , screenwriter and film producer .

During his career he shot a total of 42 productions between 1915 and 1925 and he starred in twelve films between 1910 and 1916 . His first acting film was The Motor Fiend , a 1910 American comedy directed by Theodore Wharton . In his second film, How Rastus Gets His Turkey , he was also involved in the writing of the screenplay, so began a career where he occasionally worked as a screenwriter.

During his active career as a film director, he worked with famous actresses such as Pauline Frederick , Alice Joyce , Pearl White , Norma Talmadge and Lina Cavalieri .
