Edwin Mullins
Edwin B. Mullins (* 1933 ) is a British novelist , medievalist , art critic and journalist .
Mullins has been writing about art for English magazines since 1962. His book publications include a monograph on Georges Braque . Over the course of 25 years, he has published numerous radio, television and art videos. Mullins is the initiator of the 100 Great Paintings and was the author of numerous individual contributions to this series. After the end of the English series, he remained loyal to the German sequel as an author on English museums.
Mullins contributed to paintings by Hendrick Avercamp , Pierre Bonnard , Sandro Botticelli , François Boucher , Georges Braque , Pieter Brueghel the Elder , Caravaggio , Paul Cézanne , Jean Siméon Chardin , Gustave Courbet , Lucas Cranach the Elder , Joseph Wright of Derby , James Ensor , Thomas Gainsborough , Paul Gauguin , Francisco Goya , El Greco , Peder Severin Krøyer , Henri Matisse , John Everett Millais , Piet Mondrian , Claude Monet , Bartholomeo Murillo , Paul Nash , Victor Pasmore , Nicolas Poussin , Henry Raeburn , Rembrandt , Giulio Romano , Henri Rousseau , Pieter Saenredam , Stanley Spencer , William McTaggart , Giovanni Battista Tiepolo , Tizian , Georges de la Tour , William Turner , Paolo Uccello , Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez , Leonardo da Vinci , Antoine Watteau , David Wilkie , Francisco de Zurbarán . These texts were also printed in the books accompanying the series, are sporadically repeated on 3sat , ZDFkultur and Planet and are now available on DVD publications (see 1000 Masterworks # Literature ).
