Effi Rabsilber

Effi Rabsilber (born January 14, 1978 in Schkeuditz , GDR , according to her own statements in Leipzig ) is a German actress .

Life

Effi Rabsilber received her stage training (acting, singing and dance) at the August Everding Theater Academy in Munich (1996–2000). In 1999 she won a prize at the national singing competition . In 2003 she received the audience award “The best dance solo” ( Hey Schöpfer ) at the festival euro-scene Leipzig .

She began her theater career at the Metropoltheater Munich (1998/1999) as Käthchen in The Black Rider by Tom Waits , directed by Jochen Schölch . This was followed by theater engagements at the Prinzregententheater Munich (2001; as Emmeline in King Arthur , director: Claus Guth ) and at the Thalia Theater Halle (2002, inter alia as Lady Milford in Kabale und Liebe , directed by Frieder Venus ).

Then she was active in the independent theater scene, u. a. at the Theater am Halleschen Ufer Berlin (2002; 2003) and at the Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin (2004, Epidemic after Lars von Trier , director: Sebastian Baumgarten ) and in the Berlin Sophiensælen (2008; in Nico. Sphinx from Ice after Werner Fritsch , Director: Oliver Sturm ). She did action theater, took part in several dance projects and performances and took part in festivals with her own plays (including the Politics Festival in the free theater in Berlin, Electric Renaissance as part of the Handel Festival in Halle, Rodeo Munich, Potsdamer Tanztage).

The focus of her stage work is now performance , improvisation and dance . In Greece she works a. a. with the dancer and choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis (2017, Mayabuff. A Majakovsky Delirium , Greek National Theater), whose company will produce their solo Spinning Wheel in 2020 .

Rabsilber also works as a film and television actress. She starred in films such as Confession of a Child of the Century (Director: Sylvie Verheyde ), 1000 Kings (2019, Director: Bidzina Kanchaveli ), Interruption (2015, Director: Yorgos Zois ) and numerous short films that are the focus of her cinematic work .

In the television drama Schuldig (2009) she played the student Lea Freudner, who is sitting in a wheelchair with paraplegia after a traffic accident in which she was hit by a successful science journalist and professor . In the Frankfurt Tatort: ​​Because they are bad (first broadcast: January 2010) she played a supporting role as Esther von Hardendorf, who gave the suspect a false alibi.

In John Bock's film Unheil (2018) she played the leading female role alongside Lars Eidinger .

She also had episode roles in the television series Großstadtrevier (2006; as an attractive, supposed prostitute Chantal Maranowski), Coast Guard (2009; as a newlywed wife whose husband disappears at the side of Guido Broscheit ), SOKO Wismar (2010; as an environmental activist and nature conservationist Anne Dahrscheid) and Der Kriminalist (2017; as an unfaithful wife). In the 9th season of the ZDF series Last Trace Berlin (2020), she took on one of the leading roles in the episode as witness Tina Mittelstädt, in whose house the sister of investigator Alexander von Tal ( Aleksandar Radenkovic ) was murdered about 30 years ago .

Rabsilber also works as a speaker for radio plays and audio books , u. a. in Otherland (2005; Hessischer Rundfunk ), Tschick (2010; NDR Studio Hamburg) and in Reise um die Erde in 80 Tage (2005; MDR as a young widow Aouda).

Rabsilber has lived alternately in Germany ( Berlin ) and Greece since 2010 .
