Elfriede Spiegelhauer , b. Uhlig , (born September 3, 1934 in Pobershau ; † November 21, 2013 ) was a cross-country skier from the GDR .

Spiegelhauer was discovered and promoted in the 1950s by the coach of the Pobershauer winter sports club, Karl Kraus. Her first start at a major international event was at the 1954 World Cup in Falun . For the all-German team she started for the first time in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo at the Olympic Winter Games . In the ten-kilometer race, she was more than five minutes behind the winner, Ljubow Kosyrewa, in 26th place and in the relay, together with Else Amann and Sonnhilde Hausschild, in seventh place. From 1958 she trained in the Marienberg base of SC Dynamo Klingenthal . For the 1960 Winter Olympics , she was able to qualify, but remained in Squaw Valley without use. She had two missions in Innsbruck in 1964 : she was 19th over five kilometers and 16th over ten kilometers. Spiegelhauer was multiple medalist at the national championships of the GDR. She ended her sporting career in 1966.

During the mountain festival in 1964 she was made an honorary citizen of her home village Pobershau.
