Elisabeth Coudoux (* 6. August 1985 in Meerane as Elisabeth Fügemann ) is a German improvisational musician .

Live and act

Coudoux studied cello at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden , which she graduated in 2008. Then she sat on the up in 2012 graduated Academy of Music and Dance Cologne specialist jazz cello on. In the Cologne and Wuppertal improvisation scene she works a. a. with Scott Fields , Matthias Muche , Paul Hubweber , Brad Henkel , Albrecht Maurer , Angelika Sheridan , Yoshiko Klein , Ute Völker , Udo Moll , Sebastian Gramss , Tanya Ury , Philip Zoubek and Leonhard Huhn as well as in the Cologne Multiple Joy [ce] Orchestra and in the Ensemble X formation by Carl Ludwig Hübsch . She also played in the Wuppertal improvisation orchestra. She also works as an interpreter of new music ; she was the soloist of the world premiere of the work Forma by the composer Michał Prynda .

Coudoux works particularly in her own projects, such as Emissatett (with Matthias Muche, Robert Landfermann , Philip Zoubek and Etienne Nillesen ) for which she composes (CD released in 2015 on the label schraum: qui-pro-quo-dis ), as well as in the freely improvising cello quartet The Octopus (with Hugues Vincent, Nora Krahl and Nathan Bontrager ), Peuker 8 (with Paul Peuker , Florian Lauer, Mark Weschenfelder , Clemens Pötzsch , Eugen Rolnik, Alina Gropper and Filip Sommer), Tonverbrechung (with Nicola Hein , Sophie Reyer and Lukas Truniger ), ZEHN (with Philip Zoubek, Nicola Hein and Etienne Nillesen), phase :: vier (with Filippa Gojo , Zuzana Leharová , Svenja Doeinck), Trio CEL (with Leonhard Huhn and Constantin Herzog ) and Les Polychrome by Ebeneia Gold. In addition to her concert activities, Coudoux is involved as a cellist in theater productions at the Schauspiel Essen and as a studio musician . a. when recording the electronic band Chapeau Claque and Patricia Kelly .

Between 1992 and 2003 Coudoux won several prizes for “ Jugend musiziert ” and “ Jugend jazzt ” in state and national competitions. In 2002 she was a laureate of the Music Academy Meißen at the master class of Peter Bruns .
