Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner
Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner (born May 7, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian entrepreneur.
Life
Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner is the daughter of the internationally active grain merchant and trading entrepreneur Fritz Mauthner. She spent a large part of her childhood in Seefeld in Tyrol and completed a degree in economics at the University of World Trade in Vienna with the academic degree " Diplom-Kaufmann ". After the death of her father in 1988, she became a partner in her father's company together with her sister and mother. After the death of her ex-husband Peter Gürtler (from whom she was divorced in 1983) in 1990, she took over the management of the hotels ( Hotel ) that were inherited by their children, who were then underage (Alexandra Winkler-Gürtler, * 1975, Georg Gürtler, * 1979) Sacher in Vienna , Hotel Sacher in Salzburg ) as well as Sachertorten AG and several holdings.
From 1999 to 2007 she organized the Vienna Opera Ball , succeeding Lotte Tobisch . For this work she received the Golden Decoration of Honor for Services to the State of Vienna .
From December 1, 2007, Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner, who used to be an enthusiastic rider herself and became Vice State Champion in dressage in 1979 , took over the management of the Spanish Riding School together with Erwin Klissenbauer . 2010–2018 she also organized the summer ball " Fête Impériale " there.
Elisabeth Gürtler-Mauthner left the management of the Riding School at her own request at the end of 2018.
Until his death in 2015, she was with the Austrian actor Helmuth Lohner for 24 years (wedding 2011).
