Emmanuel Leducq-Barome (* 1971 in Annecy , France ) is a French conductor .

Life

Leducq-Barome received his musical training at the Lyon Conservatory, the Paris Music Institute and the Geneva Conservatory . He studied until his graduation in 1997 at the St. Petersburg Conservatory with Mariss Jansons and Ilja Mussin as well as at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and at the Conservatory in Amsterdam .

From 1996 he worked with orchestras in Novosibirsk , Irkutsk , Vladivostok , Ukraine , the Baltic States and France. From 1997 he was conductor of the Kaliningrad Philharmonic for three years . In 2000 he became the founder and musical director of the Baltic Chamber Orchestra of the Chamber Department of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic , and has also performed with the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic , the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the Russian State Orchestra . In January 2006 he became a permanent guest conductor at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Saint Petersburg .

Leducq-Barome has conducted many summer musical festivals in France and has worked with artists such as Pierre Amoyal , Arto Noras, Gérard Poulet, Régis Pasquier, André Cazalet, Nikolai Petrow and Denis Matsuev . In 2001 he received the Prize of the Association Française d'Action Artistique (AFAA) and the Lavoisier grant from the Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères .

From 2014 to 2017 he was chief conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Saratov Philharmonic "Alfred Schnittke" . In the 2018/19 season he made his debut at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg.
