The Eparchy of Lugoj ( lat. : Dioecesis Lugosiensis , rum. : Eparhia de Lugoj ) is in Romania located Diocese of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church based in Lugoj . It includes the counties Caras-Severin , Timis , Arad , Hunedoara , Alba and Mehedinti .
history
Pope Pius IX founded the Diocese of Lugoj with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolicum Ministry on November 26, 1853 from cession of territory of the Diocese of Greater Oradin and the Archdiocese of Făgăraş , to which it was also subordinated as a Suffragan Diocese .
