Ernst Böse (born March 1, 1901 in Oebisfelde ; died September 12, 1962 in Hamburg ) was a German elementary school teacher . At times he was a member of the KPD , then the SPD . From 1956 he was director of the police school in Hamburg-Alsterdorf .

Live and act

Ernst Böse attended a teacher training college and then worked as a primary school teacher in Neuhaldensleben . In 1919 he joined the KPD. He was acquitted in a trial against communists before the Magdeburg district court in April 1921. At the 8th party congress of the KPD in Leipzig in 1923, he was elected as a supporter of the right-wing communists as a substitute member of the central committee for the Magdeburg-Anhalt district. He worked as an editor for the KPD newspaper Tribüne in Magdeburg . On November 9, 1924, he was elected to the Landtag of the Free State of Anhalt . In 1925, in protest against the party's ultra-left course, he and other communists left the KPD. He became known through his anti-leadership pamphlet “Wahnsinn oder Verbrechen? At the grave of communism ”. Here he attacked the new left leadership around Ruth Fischer , Arkadi Maslow , Arthur Rosenberg , Max Schütz , whom he accused of having exaggerated the concept of discipline to “obedience to cadavers”, and the KPD “encouraged reaction”. Bad joined the SPD. From 1925 to 1933 he was deputy district leader in the SPD. After the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, he worked for a month in Fuhlsbüttel concentration camp imprisoned and lost his job.

After 1945 he was active again in the Hamburg SPD. He first came out with various publications on Karl Marx and his social theory, for which Herbert Wehner wrote a positive report. In his book "Problems of Marxian Social Theory" he acknowledges Max Adler and his theory. Böse was an avowed opponent of the views of Lenin and Stalin . Fritz Heine made it possible for him to write “Marx contra Stalin. Karl Marx on Russian Politics ”. In it, Böse used a publication by David Ryazanov without proving the quotations from his writing for his anti-communist view.

From 1956, as director of the Hamburg Police College, he wrote various papers on the state-political education of prospective police officers. Ernst Böse died in Hamburg on September 12, 1962. His last address was Tösfeldtstr. 18 in Altona.
