Ernst Friedrich Freiherr von Troschke (born October 18, 1741 in Kemnath, † September 19, 1809 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Ernst Friedrich was the son of Otto Abraham von Troschke (* May 11, 1690 in Langmeil; † December 22, 1749 in Neu-Lagow ), a lord of Neu-Lagow, and his wife Luise, born von Winning (* October 12, 1701 in Walwitz; † April 19, 1774 in Neu-Lagow) from the Walwitz house.

Military career

Troschke was a cadet in Berlin from August 26, 1756 and was then employed on May 25, 1757 as a private corporal in the Infantry Regiment "Graf Schwerin" of the Prussian Army . With the regiment he took part in the battles near Kolin , Breslau , Liegnitz , Torgau as well as the battle near Kammin and the siege of Schweidnitz during the Seven Years' War . In the meantime Troschke had become ensign on September 29, 1759 and second lieutenant on December 4, 1760 . As a staff captain , Troschke took part in the campaign in 1778/79 and rose to the position of company commander in his regiment when he was promoted to captain on May 24, 1782 . He became a major at the end of May 1790 and then led his regiment in a campaign in Poland in 1794 during the siege of Warsaw . For his services during the battle at Kamion Troschke received the order Pour le Mérite on January 23, 1795 . Three years later he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and on November 16, 1799 Troschke was finally appointed regimental commander. In this position he became a colonel on May 25, 1800 .

Due to his poor health dimittierte Troschke on 20 December 1804 a pension of 600 taler . Nine days later he received the character of major general and the authorization to wear his previous regimental uniform.

Troschka was the master of Tammendorf and Klebow. After his death he was buried on September 19, 1809 in the garrison cemetery.

family

Troschke was married three times. On July 13, 1773 he married Charlotte Helene Gottliebe von Oppell in Thiemendorf (born September 8, 1747 in Thiemendorf; † April 29, 1777 in Frankfurt (Oder) ). After her death, he married Karoline Sophie Henriette von Oppell on February 3, 1778 (* July 27, 1756 in Thiemendorf; † May 20, 1803 in Frankfurt (Oder)) the sister of his first wife. When she too died, Troschke married Juliane Henriette Wilhelmine, widow of Rittmeister Friedrich von Pape, née von Luck (born March 6, 1771 in Müncheberg; † May 30, 1826 in Berlin) on September 17, 1805 . The following children emerged from the marriages:
