Ernst Hruza

Ernst Hruza (born May 12, 1856 in Prague , † March 1, 1909 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian legal historian.

Life

Hruza studied law at the Charles University . To the Dr. jur. doctorate, he completed his habilitation in 1882 at the University of Vienna for Roman law and Austrian civil law . After being at the Franz Joseph's University , the professorship of Roman Law suppliert had he received in 1883 in Czernowitz , a professorship and in 1887 a professorship . For the academic year 1896/97 he was elected rector . He dealt with ancient Greek law . From 1896 to 1909 he was full professor for Roman law at the University of Innsbruck . There he was dean in 1897/98 and 1903/04 and rector in 1906/07. He dedicated his rectorate speech to the jus honorarium . He was appointed councilor in 1909 and died at the age of 53.
