Ernst Wilhelm Karl von Grolman (born August 16, 1832 in Berlin ; † April 15, 1904 there ) was a Prussian infantry general .

Life

He was the son of Wilhelm Heinrich von Grolman (1781-1856) and his wife Malwine, née Eimbeck (1804-1857). His father was Real Privy Councilor , President of the Supreme Court and Major a. D.

Military career

Grolman attended the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Berlin and on April 1, 1849 joined the Kaiser Franz Grenadier Regiment of the Prussian Army as a flag junior . In 1857 he became an adjutant of the 3rd Guard Infantry Brigade. Grolman took part in the war of 1866 as a captain and adjutant at the High Command of the First Army , and later he became an adjutant at the General Command of the X Army Corps in Hanover . In 1867 he was sent to the Prussian legation in Munich as a major.
