The province of Livorno (Italian Provincia di Livorno ) is a province of the Italian region Tuscany and has 19 municipalities with 333,509 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The capital is Livorno . The province borders the Province of Pisa to the north and east , the Province of Grosseto to the south and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west . The coastal strip of Piombino is also often called the Etruscan Coast or Etruscan Riviera .
geography
The province includes the islands of Gorgona , Capraia , Elba , Pianosa and Montecristo of the Tuscan Archipelago . The only major river is the Cecina .
