The Euroferry Olympia is a RoPax ferry . She was used by the Finnish shipping company Finnlines as Transeuropa in the Baltic Sea until November 2013 .

history

The Transeuropa was built as the third ship of the type Stocznia Gdanska B501 under the construction number B501-I / 3 at the Stocznia Gdanska shipyard in Danzig . The keel was laid on January 31, the launch on December 29, 1994. The ship, which has ice class 1A Super, was handed over to Poseidon Schiffahrt in Lübeck on May 1, 1995 and between Lübeck from June 1995 to 2000 ( Nordlandkai ) and Helsinki used. from 2000 FUHR operated Transeuropa for Finnlines Germany and operated the Travemünde - Helsinki route from the change in ownership. Technical data and equipment

The ship is powered by four Zgoda Sulzer type 8 ZA 40 S diesel engines with an output of 5,760  kW each. The motors act on two controllable pitch propellers . The ship thus reaches a speed of 21.3  knots . Two diesel generators are available for the power supply .

The ship has 3,200 gauge meters. Rolling cargo is handled via two stern ramps . 130 power connections are available for temperature-controlled goods.

There is space for 114 passengers on board. Including the crew, there is room for 131 people on board. The ship has a restaurant , two sauna areas with whirlpool and swimming pool, and a mini golf course in summer.
