The sixth edition of the European National Football Team Cup took place from March 1955 to January 1960, which means that it spanned almost five years. The national teams of Austria , Italy , Yugoslavia , Switzerland , Hungary and Czechoslovakia took part. After ten rounds of play, Czechoslovakia was the winner. It was the last competition of its kind and in 1960 it was replaced by the European Football Championship .
