For Germany , the reigning German champions and previous year's Eurobowl winners, the Hamburg Blue Devils , took part in the 1997 season of the European Football League . In the final, the Blue Devils won again, they defeated Phoenix Bologna 35-14 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .
