European Football League 1996

In the 1996 season of the European Football League , a qualifying round was played in five divisions, with the first and second group qualifying for the quarter-finals in groups A to C, but only the first-placed in groups D and E. Of the originally 15 participating clubs, three withdrew their team, so that eight of the remaining twelve teams reached the quarter-finals. All three German teams reached the quarter-finals, but this was where the defending champion Düsseldorf Panther and the Berlin Adler ended up . The Hamburg Blue Devils reached the Eurobowl in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart and defeated the Aix-en-Provence Argonautes from France with 21 to 14.
