EFAF Cup 2013

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The EFAF Cup 2013 was the twelfth and last edition of the EFAF Cup . The EFAF Cup was replaced in the following season by the European Football League , whose place as the highest European tournament was taken by the newly created Big6 European Football League . The season began on March 23, 2013 and ended on July 13, 2013 with the final, which the Thonon Black Panthers clearly won with a 66: 6 win over the L'Hospitalet Pioners . For Thonon it was the first international title win.

In a group stage, originally with four planned groups, four quarter-finals were played. These should meet the four runners-up in the EFL . Since none of the EFL teams was interested in continuing to play in the EFAF Cup, the quarter-finals were omitted and the semi-finals and then the final were played directly.

Attendees

The top nations Germany and Austria did not have teams and, like Finland and Switzerland, only competed in the EFL. France and Spain were represented by two teams each. Denmark, Great Britain and the Netherlands each provided a team. With seven teams, the field of participants was significantly smaller than in the previous season.
