European Football League 2004

The 2004 European Football League was the 18th edition of the highest competition for American football club teams at European level. In the Euro Bowl XVIII that hit Vienna Vikings the Bergamo Lions with 53 to 20th

Attendees

In 2004 no German teams took part in the European competitions. With the Braunschweig Lions , the reigning Eurobowl winner was also missing . The Austrian Association sent two teams into the race with the Vienna Vikings and the Graz Giants . The Landquart Broncos started for Switzerland .

Qualifying round

The qualifying round was played in four divisions, with the group leader qualifying for the semi-finals.

Eurobowl

In front of 7,000 spectators in the Hohe Warte stadium , the Vikings were clearly superior in their third participation in the final and already achieved an 18-0 lead at half time. Even after the break, the Viennese continued to score and increased the score to 39: 0 in the fourth quarter before the Lions could score. The final score of 53 to 20 meant the highest Eurobowl victory to date.
