Eutelsat 70C ( formerly Eutelsat 36A , Eutelsat W4 ) is a former television satellite of the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization ( Eutelsat ). It was launched on May 24, 2000 aboard an Atlas missile from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

On March 1, 2012, Eutelsat unified the names of its satellites around the brand name, then it was named Eutelsat 36A .

In February 2016 it was moved to 70.5 ° East and renamed Eutelsat 70C. In August 2016, it was moved into inclined orbit at 88 degrees East. The satellite is out of order.

The satellite positioned at 36 ° East for TV and radio broadcasts, multimedia and Internet access could be received in Africa , Eastern Europe and Russia . In eastern Germany it was partially receivable with parabolic antennas one meter in diameter, in the west it was not possible.
