The Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN; English Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia , also Afrikaans Evangelies Lutherse Kerk in die Republiek van Namibië , khoisan ! Gâi = hôa Kerkib dib Namibiab! Na and oshivambo Ongerki jEvangeli Luther mu Namibia ) is the second largest Protestant church in Namibia with almost 420,000 parishioners . The church consists of six parishes with 54 parishes and is located on Church Street in Windhoek - Central .

The church emerged on October 4, 1957 from the Rhenish Mission founded in 1842 as the "Evangelical Lutheran Church in South West Africa " (ELK / SWA) and received its current name on March 21, 1990.
