Extraliga (Slovakia, chess) 1992/93
The Extraliga 1992/93 was the first season of the Slovak Extraliga in chess .
Participating teams and mode
With ELAI Bratislava , ŠK Lokomotíva Trnava and ŠK Slovan Bratislava, the three best-placed Slovak teams of the Czechoslovak team championship 1991/92 qualified for the Extraliga , and ŠK Doprastav Bratislava was promoted . The four teams played a triple round-robin tournament on eight boards.The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a tie, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for one Winning game, half a point for a draw game, no point for a losing game). Relegation was not planned, as the league was increased to 14 teams for the 1993/94 season.

The competitions were played on November 28 and 29, 1992, January 9 and 10, February 6 and 7, and March 5, 6 and 7, 1993.
Season course
The teams from ELAI Bratislava and ŠK Lokomotíva Trnava only drew against ŠK Slovan Bratislava and ŠK Doprastav Bratislava , so the direct comparison had to decide on the awarding of the title. ELAI Bratislava won the first two competitions and was thus established as champions ahead of time.
