- Cattaro (Kotor) : On the anchored ships of the Österr. Navy breaks out the sailors' uprising in Cattaro (until February 3rd).

- Berlin / Vienna: end of the January strikes
Thursday, February 7, 1918
- London : The right to vote in the United Kingdom is being redefined by the Representation of the People Act 1918 (Fourth Reform Act), which came into force on that day . The number of eligible voters doubles. Women over 30 are also entitled to vote under certain conditions.
- Kiev : Red troops conquer the city
Saturday February 9, 1918
- Brest-Litovsk : A separate peace (so-called Bread Peace) between the Central Powers and the Ukrainian People's Republic was signed.
- The Romanian government under Ion Brătianu resigns. Alexandru Averescu is his successor .
Sunday February 10, 1918
- ibid: After a German ultimatum, Trotsky breaks off the peace negotiations on the Soviet side and uses the slogan "Neither war nor peace".

- Proclamation of the Republic of Lithuania
Monday February 18, 1918
- Berlin: Operation Faustschlag begins (until March 3), a rapid advance by German troops into Russia. Within a few days they occupy Livonia and Estonia .

- The ice march of the Baltic Fleet begins.
- Henry Hughes Wilson becomes Chief of the Imperial General Staff.

- Brest-Litovsk: Ultimatum of the German government to Soviet Russia to accept the peace conditions
Sunday February 24, 1918
- A provisional government is being established in Estonia .
- The Transcaucasian Democratic-Federal Republic is proclaimed.
- Romania starts peace negotiations with the Central Powers.
- The German auxiliary cruiser SMS Wolf returns home after 450 days of patrol

- Tallinn (Reval) : is captured by German troops

- Kiev : Kuk troops move into Ukraine
