Felix Schreiner (born January 29, 1986 in Waldshut ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 2011 to 2017 . In 2017 he was elected as a direct candidate in the German Bundestag .

education and profession

Felix Schreiner grew up as the son of a bookseller family and attended elementary school in Lauchringen . After attending the secondary school in Tiengen , he obtained the technical college entrance qualification at the business school in Waldshut .

He completed his professional training as an administrative clerk at the municipality of Lauchringen and at the administrative school of the Baden-Württemberg municipal council in Karlsruhe . He then worked as a personal advisor to Mayor Thomas Schäuble and a full-time employee in the local government of Lauchringen. He then successfully completed the bachelor's degree in commercial law at the University of Applied Sciences for Business and Environment in Nürtingen-Geislingen , where he was awarded the academic degree of Bachelor of Laws (abbreviated LL.B.). Before his election to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg, he worked as a personal member of the board of the Sparkasse Bonndorf-Stühlingen .

Political activity and honorary mandates

Felix Schreiner joined the CDU in 2003 at the age of 17 and was elected chairman of the CDU local association in Lauchringen in 2007. Before that he was active in the Junge Union Lauchringen and as an assessor on the CDU board. In 2005 Felix Schreiner was elected press spokesman for the CDU district association in Waldshut and has been a member of the CDU district executive since then. In 2010 the district association elected him as the youngest district chairman of the CDU in Germany. He has since been confirmed twice in office. From 2011 to 2013, Felix Schreiner was an elected member of the district board of the CDU South Baden before he was elected to the state board of the CDU Baden-Württemberg in 2013 .

From 2010 to 2012 he was a member of the state board of the Junge Union Baden-Württemberg. From 2012 to 2014 Felix Schreiner was a member of the federal board of the Junge Union Deutschlands .

At the age of 23, Felix Schreiner was elected the youngest councilor in the history of the municipality of Lauchringen in 2009, and after this election he became chairman of the CDU council group. In the 2014 local elections , he was re-elected to the local council of his home parish. He was also elected as the youngest member of the district council of the Waldshut district in the local elections on May 25, 2014 .

Member of Parliament

In the state elections on March 27, 2011 , Schreiner won the direct mandate in the Waldshut state electoral district , which, in addition to the Waldshut district, includes the cities of Rheinfelden (Baden) and Schwörstadt in the Lörrach district .

In 2011, Felix Schreiner was elected as a member of the Upper Rhine Council (Conseil Rhénan) by the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. In 2014 he was appointed by the state parliament to the board of trustees of the state center for political education .

In the state elections in 2016 , Schreiner again won the direct mandate and was thus re-elected to the state parliament.

He is a member of the committee for the environment, climate and energy, as well as the committee for transport and spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for environmental policy and chairman of the working group X - Transport.

On October 28, 2016, at the nomination party congress of the CDU district associations Waldshut and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald with 96% of the votes, he was nominated as a candidate for the Bundestag election 2017 in the Waldshut constituency as the successor to Thomas Dörflinger .

In the 2017 federal election , he was directly elected to the German Bundestag with 41.9% of the first votes; Sabine Hartmann-Müller moved up to replace him in the Landtag.

Schreiner is also a member of the non-partisan European Union Germany , which is committed to a federal Europe and the European unification process.

Private

Felix Schreiner is married and lives with his family in Lauchringen. He is evangelical and member of numerous associations, u. a. of the Narrenverein Schwanenmühle, the Society for the Promotion of German-American Friendship and the Lions Club Waldshut .

Other engagement

Schreiner has been President of the Hochrhein Wind Music Association since March 2015 .
