The constituency of Waldshut (2005: constituency 289, 2009: constituency 288) has been a federal constituency in Baden-Württemberg since 1965 . It includes the district of Waldshut as well as the communities Breitnau , Buchenbach , Eisenbach (Black Forest) , Feldberg (Black Forest) , Friedenweiler , Glottertal , Gundelfingen , Heuweiler , Hinterzarten , Kirchzarten , Lenzkirch , Löffingen , Oberried , Schluchsee , St. Märgen , St. Peter , Stegen and Titisee-Neustadt in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district . Since its inception, the constituency has always been won by the direct candidates of the CDU .

In the last federal election, 177,306 residents were eligible to vote.
