The constituency of Bruchsal - Schwetzingen (2005: constituency 279, 2009 to 2017: constituency 278) is a federal constituency in Baden-Württemberg . It includes the northern part of the Karlsruhe district with the municipalities of Bad Schönborn , Bruchsal , Forst , Hambrücken , Karlsdorf-Neuthard , Kronau , Oberhausen-Rheinhausen , Östringen , Philippsburg , Ubstadt-Weiher and Waghäusel as well as the municipalities of Altlußheim , Brühl , Hockenheim , Ketsch , Neulußheim , Oftersheim , Plankstadt , Reilingen and Schwetzingen from the Rhein-Neckar district . The constituency was newly formed for the 2002 federal election . Its communities previously belonged to the electoral districts of Karlsruhe-Land and Heidelberg .

In the last federal election, 196,044 residents were eligible to vote.

For the first time in Baden-Württemberg, the SPD candidate for the 2013 federal election was elected in Bruchsal-Schwetzingen through a member survey. Daniel Born won this with 59.6%.
