The Felsenthal nature reserve is located in the area of the city of Gummersbach and the communities of Engelskirchen and Lindlar in the Oberbergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 90.6 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1993 , extends northeast of the core town of Lindlar along the state road L 302 and along the Leppe . The L 97 runs north of the area.
