Ferdinand Max Graf and Herr von und zu Sprinzenstein , complete Ferdinand Maximilian Graf and Herr von und zu Sprinzenstein (* 1625 - 18 July 1679 in Vienna ) was an Austrian nobleman and Land Marshal and General Land Colonel in Austria under the Enns .

Life

Ferdinand Max was the son of Simon Hieronymus Graf von Sprinzenstein (1594–1639), Herr auf Neuhauß etc. and his second wife Maria Emilia (Aemiliana) Katharina Wacker von Wackenfels. At the beginning of 1648 Ferdinand was from Emperor Ferdinand III. to the council and nö. Land rights assessor accepted. After 7 years he came to the Austrian government as a full professor . He was on the committee and councilor of the Lower Austrian landscape, then also a member of parliament. Ferdinand was Colonel Hof Vice Chancellor , General Land Colonel in Austria, Land Marshal of the Archduchy of Austria under the Enns, and most recently Privy Councilor. On September 7, 1671, he was raised to the rank of Imperial Palatine and Court Count with the word of honor " High and well-born ".

Ferdinand was the real chamberlain of Leopold I , even when he was not yet ruling, and Colonel-Hofmeister to the Archduchesses Eleonore Josepha Maria (later Queen of Poland) and Maria Anna Josepha . Since the death of Baron Johann Konrad Richthausen von Chaos, the hereditary mint master's office in Austria above and below the Enns went to the Sprinzenstein in 1682 and Ferdinand Max became chief hereditary mint master. As a member of the Fruit Bringing Society , he was called "the end of the foundation" (his plant was the "Scorpion herb").

Ferdinand Max married on February 8, 1660 in the Church of St. Michael in Vienna (Maria) Eleonora Kurtz (* 1637; † February 14, 1687 Vienna), daughter of Ferdinand Sigismund Kurtz von Senftenau , Vice Chancellor, and Martha Barbara Elisabeth Freifrau von Muschinger , Heir daughter of her parents (on Horn, Rosenburg etc.). The two daughters Katharina Eleonora (1660–1704) - she married Leopold Josef Graf von Lamberg , and Maria Regina (1662–1704) - her husband was Leopold Karl Graf von Hoyos ; both died on November 28, 1704 of child splatter . In the will of January 21, 1671, Ferdinand Max determined that the eldest grandson should add "Sprinzenstein" to his name and inherit the entire property. His grandson Karl Josef Franz Graf Lamberg (1686–1743) then called himself Graf Lamberg-Sprinzenstein. After the "Lamberg-Sprinzenstein" line died out, the Fideicommiss went to Johann Ernst Graf von Hoyos (1779–1849) in 1831 , whereupon he founded the "Hoyos-Sprinzenstein" line, which still exists today.
