After three years he decided to move to Ligue 2 in France . There he joined FC Istres . After just one season, the French capital club Paris Saint-Germain secured the services of the midfielder. After his return he tried again to approach Paris, but then moved back to his home country for good in the summer of 2005. At Académica Coimbra Teixeira came regularly to missions and played two good years there before West Bromwich Albion noticed him. On July 17, 2007, the move to the English was made perfect and Teixeira signed for three years. At Bromwich he got along well and developed into a high performer. At the end of the season, the promotion to the Premier League was certain. After he had already been loaned to the second division club FC Barnsley in the spring of 2010 , Teixeira moved to Metalurh Donetsk in the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha in the summer of 2010 . There he could not prevail and was loaned to FC Brașov in Romania during the winter break . In the summer of 2011 he joined the league rivals Rapid Bucharest . With Rapid he moved into the cup final in 2012 , where he lost 0-1 to Dinamo Bucharest . At the beginning of the year he moved to al-Shaab in the United Arab Emirates, but returned to Romania six months later and hired the reigning cup winner Petrolul Ploieşti .
