Iraneuton Sousa Morais Júnior (born July 22, 1986 in São Luís ), called Júnior Maranhão or Júnior Morais , is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Júnior Maranhão came in 2009 from São Cristóvão FR to Europe to SC Freamunde in the Portuguese Segunda Liga , the second highest division. There he fought in his club in the lower midfield before the Romanian first division side Astra Ploieşti (later Astra Giurgiu ) brought him to League 1 in early 2011 . Here he immediately became a regular in the defense and secured himself with his team in the 2010/11 season to stay in the class. He was able to repeat this a year later, when the club rose to the top team after relocating to Giurgiu in 2012. After qualifying for the Europa League at the end of the 2012/13 season , he was able to finish the following season with the runner-up and win his first title by winning the 2014 cup. In the 2015/16 season he and his team brought the championship title to Giurgiu for the first time.
