Güray Vural (born June 11, 1988 in Afyonkarahisar ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
society
Vural started club football in the youth of Eskişehirspor and in 2006 moved to the regional amateur league for Selimiye SK . Here he played first in the youth team and then in the first men's team.
In 2007 the talent scouts from Denizlispor noticed him and brought him to the summer. Here he got a professional contract, but played for the reserve team for the first few months. From November 2007 he took part in the training of professionals on the instructions of the head coach Güvenç Kurtar and came to 18 games by the end of the season. He made his debut on November 1, 2007 in the Cup game against Galatasaray Istanbul . The following seasons he played more and more games until he finally became a regular player in the 2011/12 season.
After his contract with Denizlispor expired in the summer of 2012, he moved to the new first division club Akhisar Belediyespor for free . The main reason for the move was that Vural had already worked with Akhisarspor's coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu at Denizlispor . At this club, he immediately established himself as a regular player and top performer. So he was also nominated for the Turkish national team . At Akhisar he went into the club anals by both scoring the first first division club in the club's history and with 108 games the player with the most first division appearances in the club's history.
After Vural had long been associated with clubs such as Galatasaray Istanbul , he moved to league rivals Trabzonspor in the 2015/16 winter transfer period . In return for Vural, Trabzonspor gave its players Alper Uludağ and Soner Aydoğdu to Akhisar. In his first game for Trabzonspor, the cup encounter on February 1, 2016 against his old club Akhisar Belediyespor, Vural suffered a serious injury and had to take a long break as a result. After recovering from his injury, Vural was unable to return to his old form and was only used sporadically by his coaches. During the winter break 2017, Vural moved to Kayserispor . Here he found back to his old strength under the coach Sergen Yalçın , played a major role in keeping his team up and was again nominated for the Turkish national team.
In the summer of 2018, Vural returned to Akhisar Belediyespor.
National team
Vural was in March 2009 for the first time for the second selection of the Turkish U-21 national team and made his international debut on March 26, 2009 in a 2-0 win against Denmark's U-21s . In total, he played three times for the U-21s and scored one goal.
After being able to convince with his club for a long time, he was nominated for the first time in his career in the squad of the Turkish national team by national coach Fatih Terim in October 2014 as part of two qualifying games of the EM2016 . After Vural remained in his last a-international nomination without use, he found the next four years due to injuries and fluctuating form no international nomination. Only with his form curve rising again at Kayserispor, he was nominated again for the Turkish national team in March 2017. He made his international debut in the test match against the Moldovan national team on March 27, 2017 .
