Fimpen the Knirps is a Swedish children's film from 1974.

action

The little fimp is six years old and loves football. Fimpen is just starting school, but prefers to play football all day on the playground. There the scorer of the Swedish national football team sees him . He plays with him and is tricked by him. The soccer star falls into a deep depression. Fimpen will then play for the club Hammarby IF and quickly causes a sensation in the Swedish first division. National coach Georg Ericson calls him for the decisive qualifying matches of the national team for the 1974 World Cup . Fimp becomes the hero and score the decisive goal. Sweden can now go to the World Cup in Germany. However, the boy's fame ensures that fimping at school is unfocused and no longer sees any sense in going to school.
