Four Nations Chess League 2003/04
The 2003/04 season was the eleventh season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL).
The defending champions Wood Green, Guildford A&DC and Betsson.com fought a three-way battle for the title. Only in the last round was the decision in favor of Guildford, who relegated the defending champion to second place. From Division 2 Numerica 3Cs , Micro Mark NWE (which were still called North West Eagles in the promotion season ) and the Warwickshire Selects had risen. While Numerica 3Cs and Micro Mark NWE held their own in midfield, the Warwickshire Selects were relegated along with the second team from the Barbican Chess Club and Slough . Slough's undoing was the fact that they surrendered six games without a fight and as a result was deducted a team point (without the point deduction, Slough would have finished ninth and Richmond would have been relegated in their place). For the reported team squads, see the Four Nations Chess League 2003/04 team squad .

The competitions took place on October 18 and 19, 2003, January 17 and 18, March 20 and 21, and on May 1, 2, 3, 22 and 23, 2004. The third to the sixth Round were held in Telford , the rest of them in West Bromwich .
