Thal Abergel (born October 13, 1982 in Haifa ) is a French chess master .

Chess career

Single successes

Abergel became the French master of blitz chess in 2000 . In 2003 he won the championship in Paris . Thal Abergel has been International Master (IM) since October 2003 and Grand Master (GM) since June 2008 . He fulfilled the IM norms in July 1998 at the 19th Open in Massy, ​​in August 1999 at the Paris Championship and in December 2002 at the 3rd Saturday in Belgrade , and he fulfilled the GM norms in December 2006 at the Trophy Multicoms GM in Paris, in of the B group of the French championship 2007 in Aix-les-Bains and in April 2008 at the XXI Villa de Benidorm . In Belgium he played for the Cercle des Echecs de Charleroi from 2007 to 2009 and for the Cercle d'Échecs Fontainois in the 2017/18 season , where he only played one game.

In Great Britain he won the Four Nations Chess League with Guildford A&DC in the 2003/04 season .
