Four Nations Chess League 2006/07
The 2006/07 season was the 14th season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL).
The two teams from Guildford A & DC and the Hilsmark Kingfisher defeated all other competitors, so that the direct comparisons decided on the awarding of the title. Here Guildford's first team prevailed over their own second team and Hilsmark. The defending champion Wood Green was significantly weaker than last year and had to be content with 8th place.
From Division 2, the South Wales Dragons and Bristol had risen. Both newcomers had to relegate directly, the third relegated was 3Cs Oldham . Bristol gave up three games during the season without a fight, so a team point was deducted from them at the end of the season. However, this had no effect on the final placements. Dates and venues
The competitions took place on September 16 and 17, November 11 and 12, 2006, January 13 and 14, March 3 and 4 and May 5, 6 and 7, 2007. The first two rounds were aligned in Sunningdale , third through sixth in Coventry and the last five in Wokefield .
