Frank Bryan Ntilikina (born July 28, 1998 in Ixelles / Elsene , Belgium ) is a French basketball player . The 1.96 tall player is under contract with the NBA club New York Knicks .

Player career

Ntilikina was born in Belgium and is of Rwandan descent. He grew up in Strasbourg, France , and began playing basketball there. He was promoted in the youth academy of SIG Strasbourg and made his debut in the French premier league in April 2015 at the age of 16 . During the 2014/15 season, he was used for SIG for the first time in the Euroleague . In December 2015 he received his first professional contract from the Strasbourg club (until June 30, 2019). Ntilikina announced its registration for the 2017 NBA Draft in April 2017 . In the selection process, the New York Knicks secured  the rights to the French, who was taken as the eighth player in the draft.

In his first NBA season (2017/18) Ntilikina was used in 78 games and scored 5.9 points, 3.2 basket assists and 2.3 rebounds per encounter for the New Yorkers.

National team

In 2014, he became European U16 champion with the French selection. In December 2016 he led the U18 national team to the European Championship. He was then named the best player of the tournament. He finished third at the 2019 World Cup with the French national team .
