Kevin Devon Knox II (born August 11, 1999 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American basketball player who is currently under contract with the New York Knicks in the NBA .

career

Knox moved from Tampa Catholic High School ( Florida ) to the University of Kentucky for the 2017/18 season after scoring 28.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for the school team the previous year. In Kentucky, in his first year in the NCAA, under the direction of coach John Calipari , Knox promptly became the team's best scorer and scored an average of 15.6 points in 37 missions. There were also 5.4 rebounds per match.

Beginning of April 2018 he finished his University after his freshman -year and declared that he would continue to play as a professional and for the draft process  of the NBA to sign. There he was selected ninth in June 2018 by the New York Knicks  . As a member of a New York team that only won 17 games in the 2018/19 season, Knox revealed ups and downs in his first NBA year. In December 2018 he was named Rookie of the Month in the Eastern Conference . He achieved averages of 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per encounter.
