Franz Popp (lawyer)

Franz Popp (born September 18, 1865 in Heidelberg ; † December 6, 1934 there ; Catholic) was a lawyer and district administrator who had been in the Baden state service since 1900 .

Franz Popp was the son of Franz Popp (* in Hardheim ), a businessman from Heidelberg, and Charlotte Luise, née Braun, from Heidelberg. He married Laura Dürrhammer (born January 8, 1878 in Engen, † May 7, 1964 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) on March 17, 1898 in Engen Hortensa , daughter of the privateer and councilor Theodor Dürrhammer and Maria, née Roos.

education

After studying law at the University of Heidelberg , after passing the first state examination on April 25, 1892, he was appointed a legal intern. After the second state examination in law, he became a trainee lawyer on June 15, 1895 . During his studies in 1888 he became a member of the black fraternity and later fraternity Vineta Heidelberg .

career

Franz Popp was appointed bailiff at the Durlach district office on May 31, 1900 and then, from July 17, 1902, at the Heidelberg district office . On April 28, 1905, he was transferred to the Bonndorf District Office , where he was promoted to Oberamtmann on December 7 of the same year. On September 14, 1911, he took up the post of head of the Achern district office , where he was appointed a secret councilor on December 28, 1917 . On April 1, 1924, he was transferred to the Oberkirch district office and then to the Ettlingen district office on October 1, 1927 , where he now led the new title of district administrator. On January 1, 1931, he retired.
