Freddy Got Fingered is a 2001 American comedy film directed by Tom Green who also starred and wrote the script .

action

The comic artist Gordon Brody tries to sell his idea for a television show to a broadcaster. He fails and returns to his family disaffected. There he has constant arguments with his father. These culminate in the fact that Gordon accuses his father of having sexually molested his younger brother Freddy, for which, however, he has no evidence. Otherwise, the film deals episodically with the experiences of Gordon.

The original version of the film was supported by the Motion Picture Association of America as an NC-17 rated, and he was cut later to a Restricted to obtain.

The film received five golden raspberries . It was named the worst film of the year, Tom Green was named worst actor, director and screenwriter. Supporting actors Rip Torn, Drew Barrymore and Julie Hagerty each received a nomination for worst supporting actor. Tom Green was the first to appear at the award ceremony and accepted the Golden Raspberries .

At the Golden Raspberries 2010, Freddy Got Fingered was nominated for the worst film of the decade.

The film was received negatively by most of the critics. Roger Ebert wrote a scathing review in which he stated that "the day will never come when this film is considered funny".

"Comedy by and with the comedian Tom Green, who uses the tight framework as an occasion for mostly less successful and deliberately tasteless jokes."
