Friedrich Dieckmann
Friedrich Dieckmann (born May 25, 1937 in Landsberg an der Warthe ) is a German writer .
Life
Friedrich Dieckmann is the son of the politician Johannes Dieckmann . He grew up in Dresden and in Birkenwerder near Berlin . After attending a high school in Oranienburg he laid in 1955, the school-leaving examination , and studied then German , philosophy and physics at the University of Leipzig . He has lived in Berlin as a freelance writer since 1963 . From 1972 to 1976 he was dramaturge at the Berliner Ensemble .
Friedrich Dieckmann was a member of the GDR Writers' Association from 1970 . He has been a member of the PEN since 1972, initially at the PEN Center in the GDR and later at the PEN Center in Germany . In 1992 he became a member of the Free Academy of the Arts in Leipzig , in 1995 of the German Academy for Language and Poetry in Darmstadt , in 1996 of the Saxon Academy of the Arts , which he co-founded, and in 1997 of the Berlin Academy of the Arts . He is a member of the Willy Brandt Circle .
