Friedrich Loewel

Friedrich Löwel (born July 23, 1849 in Naila , † June 30, 1914 in Munich ) was a German architect and construction clerk.

Life

Friedrich Löwel studied at the Polytechnic School Munich architecture . In 1869 he became a member of the Corps Vitruvia Munich. After completing his studies, he entered the service of the city of Munich, where he rose to the position of municipal building officer and was appointed head of municipal construction in 1876. As a student of Gottfried von Neureuther , he mainly built in the Neo-Renaissance style . His structures include school buildings in particular. Numerous buildings of Löwel belong to the architectural monuments of Munich today . In 1890 he fell ill and gave up his duties to Carl Hocheder and Hans Grässel .
