Friedrich Simon Loeffler

Friedrich Simon Loeffler (also: Löffler ; born August 9, 1669 in Leipzig ; † February 26, 1748 ibid) was a German Evangelical Lutheran theologian and author . He was the nephew of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz and his heir .

Career

Friedrich Simon Loeffler studied at the University of Leipzig , where he first received his master's degree in 1689, then his baccalaureate in theology.

From 1695 Loeffler worked for about half a century as a pastor in Probstheida , "Holtzhausen" and Zuckelhausen until he retired in 1745. He then moved back to his native town, where he died in 1748.

Friedrich Simon Löffler was friends with his time in Hanover at the "Electoral Library" active librarian Daniel Eberhard Baring , who recorded after the death of polymath on behalf Löfflers the "Leibniz Library".
